Washer Fiasco!

Our dryer that came over brand new still in its box died.  The rust shows you what the raw water does to thing here!  Tom and Thomas attempted to fix it but no luck.  There is no launromat on camp and anything you get in town is 220 volt.  My house is 110 volt.  Thankfully Ana and Kristi were sweet enough to loan me their washers.  Than Tom took me into town.  THAT IS HUGE!!!!  Tom HATES driving in town and it was the day after the floors, roads still weren't open and it was bad!!!  We did find and buy the floor model of a washer because it was the biggest they had and they didn't know when a new batch would get here.  I called 939 to come install a 220 volt plug but they couldn't come until Wed, all this happended on a Sat.  Tom jerry rigged the 220 volt washer to work in my 110 volt house!!! I have the worlds best husband!!

100 year flood

We had the most rain Saudi Arabia has seen in over a decade, most have said in their lifetime.  It has been called the 100 year flood.  Our backyard totally flooded and almost crested into the house.  We were mm away.  The cat came in screaming like it had been killed and poor Sammy couldn't go out to pee for days.  If you look closely you can see she is standing in 3 to 4 inches of water.  It was insane!

We had been having rain most of the week but in the middle of the night or during school hours.  The kids were finally able to enjoy rafting the drainage ditches!  They absolutely loved it!! No pictures of Thomas his friends choose Wadi Riyad instead.
