Awana Grand Prix
Thomas did the Awana Grand Prix. It is very similar to the Pinewood Derby he does for Cub Scouts. This was his first year to do it. Only 3rd-6th graders can. Tom & Thomas built his car and he won 1st place overall!! He was the fastest car there!! He was so excited!!! They raced all the cars by divisions. Girls then boys. Then they took the four fastest from all those to race and Thomas won!! Way to Go Thomas!!!!

Shakespeare for 3rd graders
Thomas class went together to see a play by William Shakespeare done by the middle schoolers. They enjoyed it.
Food, Fun & Sun
Friday we headed out to the beach with friends. We bar-b-qued even had pork ribs!!! The kids found an injured sea gull they gave water to and petted for a while. The kids played the adults chatted and everyone had a great time. We LOVE the beach!

Following Girl Scouts we had dinner with friends. They are also Aggies from Houston and have been here about nine months. They have three kids, Carrie, Jordan and Ian. Lily was in heaven as Nada & Farida also came over for it. They have a trampoline and the kids had so much fun on it! Lily ended up spending the night at Carrie's and was thrilled! It was a nice evening with friends and wonderful dinner!!

World Thinking Day
Lily's Girl Scout Pack had a World Thinking Day. Lily and her troop had a blast! They learned all about being earth friendly. There are 17 girls in her troop and they can be a handful!
