Swimming Pool Take 2

The kids decided to get in the pool even though it is freezing!  They didn't seem to mind.  They were in about 30 minutes.  

Lily's 1st time in the pool! 

Bass Pro

We took the kids to Bass Pro so Thomas could pick out a fishing pole.  He picked a Lightening McQueen one.  He earned it for his behavior at school.  They enjoyed seeing all the stuffed animals.  

Munchkin Butt!

Tom has been calling Lily "Muchkin Butt" and Thomas "Little Toot"  Lily will correct him if he calls her Lily.  She says "I'm not Lily I'm Muchkin Butt!"  Too cute!  

Favorite Room!

The extra room ended up being my craft room.  Tom was nice enough to make me shelves which I have put to good use.  I have all my stamp and shell stuff in there.  It is my get away!  

Can you tell I LOVE my shells!  Too much time at Naples! 

Volcano!

While I was in Bartlesville Thomas & Tom made a volcano!  It was their project for the weekend!  Thomas had to show me how to explode it when I returned!  They had a boys weekend which was fun!  Lily went to Grammylu's.  

Bartlesville Visit!

I went to Bartlesville for the weekend.  I had to take a test for World History/Geography inorder to get my TX certification for Gov't.  Makes a lot of sense I know.  Gotta love how certifications transfer!  :)  Anyway it was a great short weekend.  I was able to see some of my kids.  I had the current Sophmores and Freshman for two years because of moving from 6th to 8th grade.  It was great to see them and how their year is going!  I stayed with Nikki & Chad.  Ellie is getting so BIG! She looks just like Chad!  I also went out with some of my co workers but forgot the camera that night.  It was fun being back just not long enough!

Galveston!

We went to Galveston for the day.  It as a blast!  It was low 70's and sunny.  Great day! 

Even Bud came! 

Both kids had to build a sand castle!

Thomas seems to think he needed to chase the car as he was driving! 

We played in the dunes, hunted shells and played some football!

Galveston Post Ike

We were amazed at how much destruction there still is after Ike.  The beach along sea wall is gone.  The waves now hit the wall.  There were numerous sailboats still on there sides.  Some still in the street.  The stoplights along the sea wall are gone stop signs are there now.  The piers are missing sections.  The house below you could see the tv, dresser ect still in.  It still has a long way to go on the recovery!

Thomas Braves the Cold!

Thomas couldn't wait for summer!  He had to try the pool out!  He only made it about 5 minutes but had a blast.  He has stopped all the neighbors and showed them the pool.  He is so excited! 

Pools Finished FINALLY!

Our pool is finally done!  It has been forever in coming!   Can't wait to use it this summer!
