Halloween Carnival

The hobby farm (where the people who own horse keep them) had a trick or treat event.  The kids dressed up in what costumes we have because they don't sell them over here.  Thomas wore my mummy costume that I made when I taught ancient Egypt and Lily went as clown we had in the dress up bucket.  For not knowing what they were going to be I think they look great!  They had so much fun at the hobby farm.  They did trick or treating and then played carnival type games for tickets.  They were able to trade the tickets in for prizes.  Thomas was prize winning machine! He came home with a zillion things!!!!  It was a great evening among friends!

New Halloween Traditions

Since pumpkins don't grow in the desert they are a small fortune over here.  Tom came up with the bright idea of making paper mache ones.  We were able to even carve them and then paint them!  The kids loved it!  They decided that is more fun then real pumpkin carving!  It was several evenings of great family time and now we have pumpkins we can keep for years to come!!  This is defiantly something we will be doing again in future years!

Rockets

In case you didn't know it Tom is an AMAZING dad!!  Thomas came home with a library book on how to make rockets.  Tom & him found all the things needed and spent several days cutting, painting and gluing it all together!  Thomas is so excited with it and plans to hang it in his room!
